Critical Writings | Sergio Rodrigues – A Sergio Rodrigues Institute’s independent release, the book reveals an yet unknown side of the designer. Comprised of articles and chronicles written by Mr. Rodrigues, as well as historic pictures and sketches of his pieces of furniture and interior designs. The work is curated by Afonso Luz, philosopher and art critic. Mr. Luz also took upon himself the task of contextualizing the writings and timespan in which they were written with references, critical essays, and notes. These pieces also shed a light on the Mr. Rodrigues’ lesser known revolutionary architectural works. The foreword is signed by the designer and Institute’s President, Fernando Mendes. With a limited printed edition, the e-book will be available, free of charge, on the Institute’s website following the release. Hardcover, 341 pages.
