Dpot pays tribute to the master

The São Paulo Dpot store pays tribute to Sergio Rodrigues with a retrospective of his creations. Curated by Baba Vacaro, the exhibition features a timeline of the major events in the master’s life, some of his most significant pieces, and even fragments of furniture, his clippings and his fittings, all illustrating the designer’s constructive thinking.

The Instituto Sergio Rodrigues presents at the event the new “Mocho” pendant, developed in partnership with the jeweler Antonio Bernardo: A piece of jewelry in gold and silver versions that honors the master of Brazilian furniture, who died in September this year, with a miniature of his first creation, the 1954 “Mocho” stool.

Another novelty is the SIX DECADES OF DESIGN silver seal, also developed by the Institute together with Antonio Bernardo, which marks the first 60-piece special edition of the Benjamin armchair. This was Sergio Rodrigues’ last creation, in 2014, it is still unknown and was manufactured by the Fernando Mendes Atelier.

The Dpot store also launches at the exhibition a limited, numbered, and certified edition of the “Mocho” stool made by LinBrasil out of Cabreúva wood.
